How We Fall
Melissa Toppen
It’s not always about how we fall- it’s about where we end up once we land.

I remember the very first time I laid eyes on Cole Lincoln. It still feels like yesterday when he stumbled into my life with his messy brown hair and dark eyes. Even though I was only ten years old at the time, I knew right then and there that he was going to change everything.

From that point on Cole and I were always together—inseparable—and I naively believed we’d be best friends forever. But forever didn’t last nearly as long as I expected.

We grew up and grew apart, life driving the distance between us, but my love for Cole never faltered. Even long after he moved away, leaving me and our little town behind, I still carried a piece of him with me every single day. Because Cole wasn’t just my childhood best friend- the boy who knew me better than anyone else in the whole world. He was also my first love- a part of my very core.

When a tragic death brings us face to face again after six years, every single memory comes rushing to the surface. Only this is not the boy I fell in love with all those years ago. The man before me is hardened, intimidating, and so damn sexy I practically melt when those dark eyes meet mine for the first time in six years.

And like the first time he walked into my life, I know with complete certainty that everything is about to change.

As Claire and Connor are drawn back together, their investigation leads them to unearth everything Holloway was hiding. What they find could be the only way to stop a killer from striking again.

Fake It For Billionaire Enemy
Allina Parker

How NOT to screw yourself
1. NEVER go for a fake marriage with your childhood enemy
2. DON’T sleep with him.. EVER
3. Absolutely do NOT get pregnant with his baby!

When my father died, he sold his company and just about everything else to his best friend.
I would have been cool with that if he hadn’t made another deal―
Marry his best friend’s son, Adam Thorne.

Forget marriage, I can’t even stand that man for five minutes. Only reason I agreed is because of a deal he proposed:
Help him change his image as a rake and I get back everything my father sold. I can work with that.

Make him look good (and avoid killing him) and in two years, I’m free.
Begin the countdown to my freedom!

Only, a few months in, Adam starts getting under my skin in a more...sexual sense. I’m getting to see firsthand why women’s panties―including mine―just drop for him. Our simple arrangement is about to become way too complicated when I tell him about the baby!

I wonder, Do I really want to be free?

Here Comes the Fake Bride
Summer Brooks
Zach Stone. My fake fiancé turned almost fake husband.

Before this mess, he was just a guy that I casually hated.
Zach is the typical rich dude who is so clueless about people’s feelings that I wonder how no one has slapped him across the face yet.
That gorgeous face.
But his stone-cold heart also made him the most eligible candidate for this drama.
The plan was simple.
Say my fake vows.
Fulfill my dad’s dying wish.
Meanwhile, Zach gets his inheritance and tosses me some cash.

We’ve gone to great lengths to orchestrate this.
So why am I secretly wishing that he’s in love with me when he says, “I do?”
And more importantly, am I in love with him too?
Say Yes: Dylan
Amelia Mae

“What’s your name?” I ask.

“Does it matter?”

I smirk.  I’m annoying her and she’s not bothering to hide it.  It’s the first time all week that someone hasn’t been especially nice to me because I’m good looking or because they want something from me.

In fact, she’s being a little rude.  But I’m a New Yorker.  Rudeness doesn’t faze me one bit.  In fact, it makes me want to push her buttons harder.

It’s been years and I never found that bar again.  I never see Jane again.  But I never forget the sad-eyed, broken-hearted, tattooed, Irish artist-slash-bartender.

I see her name in stars.

“Are you ever going to tell me why you hate that bloody band so much?” my best friend muses.

I don’t hate the whole band.  I only hate that fucking blonde singer.

I hate knowing that I could be in the same building as the tall, tattooed devil himself and that I could push my way to the front and watch him sing and sweat and rile up several thousand women who all wish they could find their way into his pants after the show.

I hate that I know what it feels like to have his hot, muscled body on top of me.  I know what’s like to get naked with him and let him make me come.  Over and over.

I also hate that I know what it feels like to wake up in an empty bed after being absolutely ravished by Dylan Cotter, never to hear from him again and I hate that after all this time, I still think about it.

A lot.

Carrows Justice is the third book in the Carrows Family Chronicles series of billionaire caper novels.

The Rebound Bet
Kaylee Spring

My life was perfectly boring. Then I met Nathan.

I can blame it all on Beth for her stupid bet that night. Because of her attempt to cheer me up after another pathetic relationship went south, I ended up propositioning the next guy who walked in the bar. And that guy just happened to be the same one who walked into my backyard last summer, planning to clean out the pool, but instead finding me in the middle of a self-loving session in the pool chair.

Despite this disastrous coincidence, the night somehow leads us back to that very same pool. Only this time, I’m not trying to cover myself up.

It’s bound to be a long, steamy night, but at least we have the water to cool us down.

Spoiler Alert! Ruby and Nathan get off on the idea of a bit of voyeurism, which means there’s pretty much nowhere off limits.

Each Sweet, Sexy Short features a different couple, so The Rebound Bet can be read on its own.

Always a happily ever after. Never a cliffhanger.

When It's Our Time To Go (Goldengrove Series Book 1)
Sav R. Miller

**A steamy contemporary romance. Some scenes may not be suitable for all ages. Guaranteed drama, a swoony leading man, and a sweet HEA. **

I haven’t been home in five years, despite my proximity to the little town I grew up in. The town that knows what my humiliation tastes like.

I didn’t plan on this being the year my hiatus ends, but the entire world shifts on its axis the same night I drag a gorgeous stranger into a nightclub storage closet and let him have his way with me.

Suddenly, the world I’ve been comfortable in is no longer, and I find myself traveling back to Goldengrove in spite of my reservations.

To make matters worse, the stranger from that night keeps showing up, showing interest in me and my hometown. I’ve tried to explain that friendship is all I can offer him, but my body and the voices in my head know I don’t mean it.

Hell, he even seems to know it.

But he doesn’t know everything: my guilt, my shame. My ghosts. That he’s my distraction from it all.

And I don’t know anything about him.

I tell myself it doesn’t matter, that I don’t need to know anything, but it’s a lie – my stranger is very slowly becoming the one thing I didn’t want him to be.

Every time I look in his eyes and remember the night we met, I’m reminded why we can’t be more. Why I don’t deserve more.

I just wish he’d take no for an answer.

When Wishes Bleed
Casey L. Bond

One Prince. One Witch. One Fate.

The upheaval in my life began the moment a prince stumbled into my house and asked me to read his fortune. Any other night, I might have made an excuse to get him to leave, but this was no normal visit. My fingers prickled to touch him. So, I granted his request by handing him a single wishbone. When he snapped it, the wish … bled.

Hearing me suck in a shocked breath, he asked what it meant. Such an ominous omen could only mean one thing: his death was imminent. Fate revealed that he wouldn’t die of natural causes. Someone wanted him dead. Stunned by the revelation, the man I now knew as Prince Tauren disappeared into a night I feared he wouldn’t survive.

The following day, I received an invitation to the castle. While it seemed the prince believed I could intervene and uncover who was plotting his death, his motives didn’t stop there. I was being summoned to join twelve other women in vying for the opportunity to be his wife and future queen. Going could mean jeopardizing my plans to reclaim my heritage and resurrect the House of Fate. But staying would guarantee Tauren’s death, and the blood of his wish would be on my hands.

Sarah Buhl
Haunted by the passing of her sister and believing she was the catalyst to cause it, Hannah Anderson lives a walking death. Afraid to embrace life and burdened by guilt, she refuses to accept more than just getting through every day. She believes she doesn't deserve happiness. Consumed by anxieties and self-depreciation from childhood, Wynn Hawthorne shelters himself from the world. Content to live behind his camera and within the quotes that comfort him, he avoids people. He holds himself back from experiences because people always disappoint. Together they learn that their pasts do not define them and that forgiveness is the hardest thing in the world to accept.

“We may make bad choices, but we don’t have to let them define us.”

Penance. A Love Story is the debut novel by author Sarah Buhl, and I have to say that it’s probably one of the most impressive and captivating romances I have ever read. Ms. Buhl has a way with words that is beyond beautiful and their construction is so poetic that I found myself on more than one occasion thinking, Wow. When a writer is passionate about a story, it’s written all over their work, and it’s obvious that Ms. Buhl has a true passion for the truly fantastic story she’s written in Penance.

Penance is the story of Wynn Hawthorne and Hannah Anderson, two young, very broken people who have both faced incredible pain in their lives inflicted by tragedy and abuse. Hannah is dealing with the death of her sister, which she blames on herself, while Wynn is dealing with the effects of years of mental and physical abuse at the hands of his own mother. In order to cope with their pain, both of them constructed emotional walls to keep the rest of the world out. But when they meet each other, they can’t deny their connection and, together, they embark on a journey of love, forgiveness and healing.

“There’s so much I want to say, but the words are hollow compared to the feelings I have when I’m near you.”

“We all have to face our demons, Hannah, if we don’t, they eat us up inside and steal every breath away.”

I’m not usually a highlighter of quotes when I read, unless I find something that moves me to the point where I feel compelled to commit it to memory. Typically, this will only happen once every few books, and I may only find one or two quotes to highlight. In Penance, however, I found myself wanting to highlight something on practically every other page. There were so many passages that resonated with me and made me think.

The characters in Penance are both relatable, believable, and well-developed. Besides Wynn and Hannah, I particularly liked Sid, Petra, Gabe, and Maggie, all of whom were great supporting characters and, at times, provided some comic relief in a novel about otherwise serious issues. I’ve never read a book like Penance before, and found the plot to be extremely well-developed. It flowed together well, and it was both emotional and heartbreaking at times (to the point where I found myself tearing up).

In short, Penance is a truly moving, beautifully written and well-constructed novel of forgiveness and love that I will not soon forget. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great new romance or just a well-written, moving story in general.

False Finder*
Mia Hoddell
Cora has been able to detect lies since she was born, she’s…a False Finder. However when blackmail, betrayal, and lying are all the population has to protect themselves, it makes her dangerous. It also makes her a target. Because of Cora’s ability, Rogan Carvelli—London’s biggest criminal leader—has been trying to acquire her for years. Cora has learned to survive and remain undetected—at least until one careless mistake causes her friends to betray her. Sold to Carvelli, Cora is only left with the help of a secret organisation to escape. She knows nothing about them, but they have saved her too many times to ignore. However, the closer she gets, the clearer it becomes… Their motives are far from innocent.

Cora is a False Finder, an ability that is both a blessing and curse. False Finders have the ability to determine whether or not a person is being truthful, and in a dystopian London setting ruled by crime boss Rogan Carvelli, she is a hot commodity, whether she likes it or not. Because of this, Cora has been on the run from Rogan and his men, building a life and trying to find normalcy. However, all that changes when the people she thought were her friends betray her and she finds herself once again on the run. In a world full of deceit, who can you trust? As Cora finds out, the answer is far more complicated than it may seem.

False Finder is a fast-paced, action-packed thriller that never ceases to keep the reader guessing. Loaded with twists and turns, the plot is well written and the characters are so lifelike that it feels like you truly get to know them. I particularly enjoyed Cora’s wit and snark, especially in the scenes with Rogan, and I felt that it added a lighthearted and humorous touch, perfectly balancing out the action and dramatic tone of the story. Ms. Hoddell truly has a gift when it comes to characterization, adding depth to characters that humanizes them no matter how good or devious they may be.

Overall, I highly recommend False Finder to fans of dystopian thrillers. It kept me hooked from page one, and I found myself having to force myself to put it down on several occasions. There were a few twists that I wasn’t expecting, which made for an engaging read that kept me turning the pages.

I look forward to reading more of Mia Hoddell’s work in the future.

My attraction to him is instant, but Decker appears indifferent. Until the day I catch his heated stare lingering too long.

If I don’t remember the past, can we build a future?

Runaway Tess
J.M. Spade
A new job and a new city every few months is what Tess lives for. The adventure of constant change drives her passion for travel nursing. At least that's what she's been telling herself for years. Going back home for a family wedding, her sister sets her up on a blind date and Tess quickly falls for Evan, the perfect gentleman, even if it was for one night only.

When her next move takes her home for the summer, a chance encounter brings her right back into Evan's arms. However, falling in love quickly brings up old memories and flashbacks from a time Tess had long ago tried to forget. The deeper in love she falls, the more she realizes how the events of the past have shaped who she is. Tess must dig deep within herself, reliving the past, and question her real reasons for living her life the way she does if she wants to truly fall in love.

At the end of the summer, will Tess stay for Evan or accept her next travel nursing assignment?
Liar, Liar, Hearts On Fire
Pippa Grant

The lies will come back to bite you every time...

Never borrow pants from your brother. Especially if he’s a size smaller than you are, because all that pressure in the junk will short-circuit your brain.

And you’ll lie to a woman in a club about your real name.

Leave her unsatisfied after making out in a bathroom.

Then find out that she’s the one thing standing in the way of your dreams. And she very much doesn’t like being lied to.

Now I have to convince Lila Valentine—the woman I can’t stop thinking about, my biggest regret, and my new boss—that I’m what’s best for the baseball team she’s inherited.

If we can’t work together to save the Fireballs, the commissioner’s forcing a sale and moving them across the country.

I’ll do anything to save my home team.

But the one thing I can’t do?

Keep my hands to myself.

Which would be fine, if she hadn’t been telling me lies this whole time too.

To everyone else, Hunter Caldwell is the most powerful man in New York. Respected by his associates and feared by his competitors.
But to me? Hunter is just my best friend… my sexy-as-hell best friend.
So when he needs my help, I instantly say yes.

It all starts as pretend…
Our first kiss is unexpected—but it still makes my skin sizzle, my knees go weak.
The next one is in front of his tight-knit family. We have to be convincing. But it’s so wicked hot, it almost fools me too.
On our first night together, he tells me that I have to keep us both in check, because he doesn’t know how to keep the lines from blurring… He touches me like I’m precious, and holds me close… barely stopping his fingers from pushing down the straps of my dress…
Our second night is sexy as hell. Intense. Alluring.
How am I supposed to not fall in love?

Noah Becker is nothing but trouble. That’s what Mama told me when I was a kid, kicking his pew in church and giggling at the games we’d play. It’s what the town said when his father died and the Becker brothers went wild. And it’s on repeat in my mind the day I walk into the whiskey distillery where he works to buy a wedding gift for my fiancé.He’s trouble. Dirty, sweaty, rude trouble. No matter how many times I repeat it, I can’t escape Noah in our small Tennessee town. And the more I run into him, the more he infuriates me. Because he sees what no one else does.He sees me—the real me. The me I’m not sure I’m allowed to be.I’m Ruby Grace Barnett, the mayor’s daughter. Soon to be a politician’s wife, just like Mama and Daddy always wanted. Soon to fulfill my family’s legacy, just like I always knew I would.Until the boy everyone warned me about makes me question everything, like whether the wedding I’m planning is one I even want. Everyone says Noah Becker is nothing but trouble. If only I had listened.
Taming My Whiskey
Melissa Foster
Being the princess of the Dark Knights motorcycle club doesn’t come with a white knight or a fairy-tale castle, and that’s okay, because Dixie Whiskey has never needed a man to slay her dragons or make her whole. Even so, after watching each of her brothers fall in love, she’d sure like a shot at her own happily ever after. But with the Dark Knights watching over her and the only man she’s ever wanted out of reach, she’s not holding her breath.

As the launch of Silver-Stone Cycles’ biggest line approaches, Jace Stone is left needing a favor from the one woman who holds the power to take him to his knees. He knows when it comes to sinfully gorgeous and sharp-tongued Dixie Whiskey, he must stay on his toes and keep his walls firmly in place. But Jace needs her for his business—and Jace Stone always gets what he wants.

When the tall, gruff, and darkly handsome biker presents an opportunity that any other woman might see as the chance of a lifetime, Dixie turns him down flat. But Jace is determined, and he pulls out all the stops—sending Dixie’s overprotective brothers up in arms. Rebellious Dixie takes a stand—going after the freedom, and the man, she’s always wanted. One scorching kiss leads to an undeniable connection, but Jace isn't looking to be tied down, and Dixie refuses to play second fiddle. Can two untamable hearts find forever love in each other’s arms?

The Best Friend Bargain
Crystal Kaswell
I'm pretending I'm in love with my best friend. What could possibly go wrong?

Skye is my best friend. I trust her with my life
.So when she asks me to play her boyfriend?
I say hell no. Love screws everything up. And I'm not about to lose the only person who gets me.
But Skye is determined. She's bringing a fake boyfriend to her cousin's wedding, with or without me.
And I'm not about to let some other
guy hold her, touch her, kiss her.
Sure, it's strange, smiling like I'm madly in love
But it's easy, wrapping my arms around her curvy body.
It's easy, dragging my lips over her soft neck.
And when she kisses me?
It's easy, realizing she's the only thing I need.

I have five weeks of faking it. Five weeks to convince my best friend our fake love is real.
Bad Boy's Baby

#1. Get pregnant

How to NOT have a happily ever after...
by your brand new boyfriend.
#2. Don’t tell said boyfriend you’re pregnant.
#3. Oh, and don’t tell him you’re the reason his brother is rotting in prison.

My job is to put criminals in jail,
Not sleep with the suspect’s brother.

He’s a walking contradiction.
With that bad boy swagger and enough ink on his body to write a novel,
You’d think he belongs behind bars,
Not a desk at a financial firm.

It’s his eyes.
Soul piercing eyes.
Eyes that make my panties melt off…

But the deeper I fall for Ben,
The harder it is
to tell the truth.

While he struggles to right the wrongs of his family’s past.
I’m working hard behind the scenes to keep people like them locked up.

Getting pregnant by Ben is only the start
to this drama,
And now I’m neck-deep, hiding
secrets of my own.

Someone lock me up and throw away the key,
I’m about to serve a life sentence for f*ck up of the century.
Something That Could Last
Ashley Cade

They say opposites attract.
I never believed that until I met Abby.

I was an Ivy League student, the eldest son of an affluent family, living a life of luxury and rubbing elbows with D.C.’s elite. Sounds great, right?
Too bad prestige comes with a price.

When the expectations became too much, I decided to escape to the hills of West Virginia with my best friend for a summer of fun, some R & R and a little white water rafting. I wanted to lose myself in the outdoors, but instead found her—a petite waitress and
all around spitfire—she knocked me off my game, making me want more than the casual, no strings attached relationships I was used to.

To me, she’s not just another summer fling.
She’s something that could last.
Those Summer Nights
Ivy Smoak

The easiest way to get over someone is to never see them again, right? So when my ex stomps on my heart and throws it into the ocean…I decide to spend my summer on the opposite side of the country.

And this summer is all about me. Mending my broken heart (screw all men). Figuring out what I want to do with my life (a life that thankfully does not include my ex). And trying to better
myself (does eating ice cream count?).

But all of my perfect planning comes to a halt when the sexiest lifeguard in existence asks me out. I have to say no. It doesn’t matter that he’s built like a Greek god, has eyes the color of the ocean, or is hotter than a summer night. I’m going to say no, I swear. He’s going straight into the friend zone. Although, I’m pretty sure he’d be more delicious than any flavor of ice cream. Can’t I put him in the friend zone after just one taste?
Auctioned to the A-Lister
Taylor Holloway

I snuck into a charity ball and accidentally got myself auctioned off to Hollywood’s sexiest, most eligible bachelor.
This is going to be VERY hard to explain to my evil stepmother.

I escaped my monotonous life for one enchanted evening.
I even danced with a prince. Tommy Prince, America’s most lusted-after movie star.
He must have liked me because he decided to cut a one-hundred thousand dollar check to the Humpback Whale Conservation Fund to take me out on a date.
But it’s only a matter of time before this fantasy shatters.

I’m not the typical Hollywood arm-candy.
I’m an awkward, nerdy virgin working a dead-end job, while he’s the hottest actor in the world.
His rugged good looks, alpha attitude, and dogged pursuit of me is making him impossible to resist.

But my fame-hungry stepmother has her own plans for Tommy, namely my shallow, beauty queen stepsisters.
When I’m safe in his strong arms I can imagine a happily ever after for us, but my life has been no fairy tale so far.
I might have to give Tommy up to keep my crazy step-family from destroying us both…
